Because they refuse to deliver my order fearing they won't get a tip
- - Checkout has no tipping option, so drivers refuse delivery.
- - Drivers won’t come even 2 miles due to tip fears, and I have back surgery and no car.
Twice I've placed an order through Walmart and have not received it because Walmart's online ordering area, checkout line does not have an option that works for a tip. Due to that, I like to try to tip the drivers myself.
But because they're fearful of not receiving a tip, they refuse to bring the order. I have had back surgery recently. I do not have a vehicle. I have no way to get groceries besides a spark driver, and they refuse to come 2 miles to my house for fear of no tip.
What is this world coming to?

I have been asking Spark support since 12/3/25 to send my check for backpay (which drivers should have received while working) and have been completely disregarded. I followed all instructions.
They sent it to the wrong address and I can’t obtain my check, I’ve explained all details to more reps then I can keep track of and have spent hours trying to receive my check. I have verified myself and emailed the correct address twice (12/3 and 12/9) with no response. I have been hung up on multiple times. I called Walmart for support today 12/28/25; that rep gave me the wrong phone numbers and told me to contact Spark for their HR department’s phone number.
When I did this I was hung up on again. The Spark rep must have been too busy with all of the noise of screaming children I could hear in the background and she kept trying to explain to me that no HR department exists. Then the Walmart rep I spoke to sent me an email with a survey. Although I opened the survey I did not fill it out, yet somehow it’s completed…..I certainly did not complete the survey to review his horrible service, where he gave me phone numbers that don’t exist.
What more can I possibly do? Why aren’t I allowed to have my check for money I earned when I delivered for Spark??? I followed all of their instructions to obtain the check. The moment I was notified this check was sent to the wrong address in the mail I contacted Spark.
When I call Spark I go around in circles and am told to do exactly what I have already done, and then the reps either hang up on me or tell me they’re talking to a level 1 or “now a level 2 account manager”, transfer me, and then they hang up on me. It doesn’t matter how polite I am, if I request to speak to someone else. It does not matter what I do; they simply refuse to send my check to the correct address. It will be voided in a week, I’m assuming that’s what they want.
It’s not even a large check but it’s income I earned and deserve.
I have spent hours attempting to resolve this and they have no interest in correcting the problem. It’s like I’m talking to fake reps because the information they give me is so ridiculous and the transferring and hanging up on me is so incredibly rude I don’t even know how to interpret these actions. What more can I possibly do? Was it not enough that I spent more on gas and wore down my vehicle at the time, accepting orders that didn’t exist; this occurred repeatedly.
I received more fake orders than real. I even went shopping to have the orders cancelled while on my way to the locations with a car load of groceries several times. The issues were endless and I can’t even get my check. The only reason I was notified it was sent to this other address is so the people living there can obtain my new location because they were arrested for domestic violence for attacking me when going to my previous address unannounced, yet this is the position Spark and Walmart are putting me in as I’m taunted by these people.
I’ve explained this to Spark politely so many times and requested for my check to be sent out to the address they now have on file. There are no issues with verifying my account. I continue to follow all of their instructions. PLEASE ADVISE; WHAT MORE CAN I POSSIBLY DO?
WHY IS THIS SO DIFFICULT? I even looked into PO Boxes!!! But they cost more than it’d be worth; sometimes it’s about the principle. How many more hours do I need to spend on the phone to be hung up on?
Why send another email when I did EXACTLY what the reps told me to, to be completely ignored again??! Why is this so difficult. Why aren’t I allowed my earnings?!? I’m not the one who prevented myself from receiving my earnings in the first place.
Can this be resolved? Why am I given false phone numbers to call? Why aren’t I allowed to speak to a rep who can or may actually assist me? Why was a survey completed that I certainly did not fill out?
Why does Walmart claim they don’t have a HR department? Why can’t I receive my earnings? Why won’t you respond to my emails; I’ve emailed that same account before when you wouldn’t send me my 1099. If I’m following exactly what I’m supposed to, as I’m told by multiple reps, then what is the problem?
Is it acceptable to hang up on someone repeatedly who has spent hours trying to obtain their earnings? Would you like me to pay for the stamp??? Will that resolve this? I even forwarded Spark the email I received from the people who opened my mail to tell me I was sent this check!!!
They told me 2 months later!!! Are you suggesting I put myself at risk when they won’t mail it to me regardless???
Perhaps you can take a few seconds to respond, in fact, even though I don’t drive for Spark anymore, I continue to be a Walmart customer, but I guess that doesn’t mean anything.
I don’t expect fair treatment as an employee anymore (just generally speaking) but at the very least have some decency for customers. Do you not value your customers in addition to your employees regardless if they’re contract or not???!
So if it’s ok with you, may I please receive my earnings…also I have asked if there is anything else I need to do to have the check be sent to the correct address, I’ve included ALL information in my emails as well…but you refuse to respond…..

User's recommendation: Don’t drive for Spark, they send orders that have already been fulfilled and blame it on glitches and make you wait in your vehicle for hours…that’s all unpaid…nevermind the damage to your vehicle, they told me to keep trying to find an apartment one time when I was lost at night in a dangerous area by myself (young small female), I told them I felt unsafe and the rep couldn’t care less, you mean nothing to them (so I guess it’s like every job out there, except with Spark you have to damage and pay for your vehicle too!!! And be put in dangerous situations)

I am writing to respectfully request assistance regarding my deactivated Spark Driver account. I have been an active driver on the platform.
About two months ago, I was asked to complete a routine background check renewal for my original account associated with 4142asd@***.com. During this time, my original account was still active.
When the processing time for the background check extended beyond one month, I mistakenly attempted to create a second application using a different email address (mokrm7774@***.com) and a different phone number (313-349-****), but with my same driver's license and Social Security information. This second application was immediately stopped upon creation.
I now understand that creating a second account is against Spark policy, and I sincerely apologize for this error, which was due to my misunderstanding during the long waiting period and my lack of experience with such platform policies.
Recently, my original account prompted me to re-upload my information and accept updated terms. After re-uploading the details within the application, I attempted to sign the terms of use, but the application froze completely. I waited for several minutes, but it remained unresponsive, and then the application stopped working entirely, showing a message that my registration was not approved.

This is not at all what I said. Last week I had a spark driver deliver my Walmart order to my house.
A few days later I got a notice from Google that I just received a bad review on my business page. Apparently, the delivery driver was unhappy about the amount of tip she received, so she found out my personal information and my company, and then she proceeded to leave a bad review saying shame on me for not tipping when I owned a restaurant. My restaurant has been closed for 2 years, and I did tip her; she just didn't like the amount I tipped.
That is stalking and extortion. Spark should not be giving out my personal information to anyone.

Nobody resolution in the will not contact me as I had requested to dispute the appeals process and they still have yet to contact me and will not contact me.Keep telling me to do it in the app.When i'm telling em, that's physically impossible for me to do as it's not an option in the app.And i've asked them to contact me and they will not!
I was advised by a Spark support to call them when someone orders medicine since they already have gotten proof upon ordering.
So, I called support to complete delivery and then they terminate me. Worst Company to work for.
They also continue to hire illegal immigrants and mass people which takes away from employees that already have been with them. I guarantee the spark customer service agent who completed the delivery has their job!!I If you want me to shop and deliver for you.

Deactivated my account and I cant get any solid answer why. Ive submitted my appeal and have made several calls.
They keep saying this will be escalated up the ladder and youll have answers within whatever timeframe. Total crap. My appeal was Jan 11. I cant get thru to anyone who can make decisions or give me answers.
Absolutely zero support for the driver once anything like this happens. Even a 5 star driveryoure just forgotten and ignored.

It was your driver that delivered to the wrong apartment building and door! I did put a complaint in at Walmart about my order, but they told me I need to wait a few days to get a refund or new order.

I had a Walmart delivery and the driver didn't like her tip, so she, Sandra, left a bad review on my business page. I absolutely left a tip, but it wasn't the tip she wanted.
This is stalking and harassment. Blackmail in a way. Drivers shouldn't be allowed to find out our personal information. This feels unsafe.
They get paid to deliver. Tips are in addition. Sometimes you have more to give and sometimes less. But stalking someone is wrong.
Beware. I guess I will have to switch Walmarts and hopefully avoid this person, and I hope that it is fully investigated.

This has happened two days in a row. I have left my house to go to the Walmart. I show up at the Walmart and I get to the park and they hit cancel and both orders were too big batched drop offs and I dont think it was fair I didnt get an explanation or anything until I called customer service.

Spark Driver Review (First-Time Applicant – Duplicate Issue)I am a first-time applicant to Spark Driver. I have never worked with Spark before, and I have never created an account in the past.
But when I tried to apply, the system told me that my application is “duplicate” or that an account already exists. This is not true — this is my very first time applying.Because of this error, I cannot finish the application, cannot move forward, and cannot start working at all. I contacted Spark support, but I only received automatic replies and no real solution.
They didn’t explain why the system thinks I have another account.I tried using a different email, reinstalling the app, and restarting the application, but the error is still there. This is very frustrating because I just want to complete my first application and start working.I hope Spark Driver fixes this issue and clears the duplicate message so new applicants like me can successfully finish the onboarding process.

These drivers are shopping your order, using their personal car and they pay for their own gas—would YOU take hours out of your life to shop and deliver groceries if YOU weren’t getting paid? No, you wouldn’t.
Online tips for delivery drivers aren’t like tipping restaurant servers—tips for delivery drivers are more like bids. Stop being an old cheapskate, tip the drivers and you’ll get your groceries.
You have up to 3 hours AFTER delivery to add to or deduct from the tip online. You will never receive a delivery without including a tip.
However, if you deduct from your tip, the drivers will catch on. You need to remove your loss of $130 unless they are refusing to refund your money.
